Vist to High Point!

this week the boys are out of school (noooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!) and so we are trying to keep busy!

Monday we headed up to High Point to spend the night with one of my best friends Meredith. she has 2 boys too and they had a blast together. 4 boys is no joke!!

we went to the pool, played outside, watched a movie, played some more and had the best time. I cried 3 times heavily....laughing of course....that is when you know it is a great time ;)

this one has never been in a bubble bath before, so it freaked him out at first! we were never able to do it for Lawton's skin and Wyatt's ears. summer time, so forget it right?!? it was a blast

 

our boys at dinner ;) we had the best time and it is times like these that make you appreciate your life so much. Meredith is like family. we pick up right where we left off, we know each other like sisters and we love watching our kids together. it's comfortable and easy.

 

okay, I am about to get real now.

last night, I went out to dinner with Meredith ingram (tomascak), giordana and hope and again, it's like family. no competition with kids, or no do you this person or who is who.

we have been best friends since we were 18 and it's just damn easy and I am so thankful for it. we are all from charlotte and grew up not knowing who is who, or what neighborhood is best and most expensive, etc. I am at the age where people  are asking me where I am putting Lawton in school, what club am I joining, etc. this is not who I am. I get very uncomfortable talking about these things. I have begun to seclude myself from people who ask me this stuff.... i am not about the who is who. i am not about going somewhere to school because it is private. i was born and raised charlotte and live here because i love it. my point is, you have all kinds of friends. ones that know you to the core and still love you ;), ones that you love being around, ones that you pour your heart out to, ones that you like to party with, ones that you like to gossip with, ones that will do anything for you. seeing Meredith and some of my girls from college was so refreshing and just what i needed to put everything into perspective.

i am thankful for all of my true friends and hold each one close to my heart....
