Bottoms up for Booty

this past Thursday, my great friend giordana held a Bottoms Up for Booty fundraiser at NoDa Brewing Co. The fundraiser was for 24 hours of Booty a wonderful annual even here in charlotte that raises money for Levines Cancer Institute.

 she and my mom were interviewed by the local news about the event and what it does....it celebrates those who have fought cancer, who are continuing to fight and who have lost the battle. Team Gita has my father's name on their jerseys for his battle with cancer and has for 5 years now...so, all of this is very close to our hearts and we love being able to support this wonderful cause.

my parents went as well and we had the best time! we each won something in the auction too, which NEVER happens for us ;) mom and dad won $100 to chima and jack and I won $180 to a new fitness place here in charlotte.

 another wonderful team to support during the 24 hours of Booty is Team Libstrong. Libby Jones lost her battle with Leukemia recently and I think about her everyday. Her parents are so incredibly strong and have had a very tough 1.5 years. I wear this bracelet everyday proudly. she is someone that all of charlotte has lifted up in prayer and continues to pray for her family. so, if you can, support this amazing cause in some way! even coming out to watch the riders is so much fun!
