HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Jack and I are headed to Charleston for the weekend for a wedding...our FIRST weekend away together from the bambino. Isn't that insane? We have both gone for a weekend separately and had a few overnights out, but not 2 -in.a.row.....umm, we are a LITTLE excited. I am excited for a new year to begin - 2010 was amazing and i look forward to seeing what 2011 will bring!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas! We just finished brunch with my aunt karen and cousins Riley and Rachel at Eddies - our new tradition as of last year - LOVE IT! This year was so special because LAWTON is here! I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday! We are off to Fayetteville tomorrow and staying the night with my parents tonight!

this weekend we went to leighton's birthday party and man oh man, did lawton enjoy himself! katherine had the kids music teacher come - such a great idea to keep the kids entertained for a bit! lawton and i have not been to music class yet. he is in mommies morning out 2 days a week and has music there. his teachers have told me he likes music a LOT. well, i got to see it first hand on sunday! i was crying i was laughing so hard

people have started telling me that lawton looks like his daddy....i tell them, not yet, but i hope so....i mean, one of the reasons i married him is because he is hot. but really, i found some negatives at my parents house. here my friends, is proof. this boy is mine!

christmas playgroups

i am not a Grinch. i swear. but i also don't have many "themed clothes" for lawton. his grandmother bought him the santa john-john in the next few pictures and i do think it is cute we just don't do those everyday...not that there is anything wrong with it, it just isnt' lawton's style...he told me that, by the way. BUT, poor lawton only has one, so we wore TN clothes to the christmas playgroup on Wed. bah humbug! ginny had some reindeer ears for mista, so he had some spirit! here are a few of the kiddos. most were MIA with colds...sniff sniff!

thursday at playgroup we celebrated ben and baker's first birthday! ali and leigh went all out...made ornaments for the kids, had a buffet and best of all SANTA!
poor baker ended up with a fever and had to miss his party ;-(...sounds like me on my 30th!

Festive Weekend!

our weekend started off by celebrating VAN'S FIRST BIRTHDAY!! it was a monster bash and his mama melissa thought of everything! melissa and i talked everyday when we were pregnant and continue to share tips and advice with one another...i can't believe our boys are turning a year old!

now, i had to get a picture of this "situation". (melissa, do not share my blog with his mama!)lawton was playing nicely and this boy came out of nowhere are grabbed his hands and shoved them off one by one. i just watched to see what lawton would do and got this face. pure innocence. he was just so confused as to why he couldn't play with it when he was there first! well, the boys mom saw and i think he was taken out front and given a whoopin...oops.

saturday night we celebrated my friend giordana's birthday at the bobcats game in a box. this was my first time ever going to a game and dammit i am spoiled now! sit in a seat? no thanks! crabcake, yes please!

let's be honest, i didn't watch one minute of the game. i think i just made everyone's ears bleed. i don't get out much.

last but not least, sunday we went over the the white's for their annual Christmas party. elizabeth is the ULTIMATE party planner and hostess. she is amazing and does it all with 3 kids under 3. she is such a wonderful friend and mother and this is such a great tradition that the kids will remember for years to come!

okay...this is kinda staged. i really wanted a picture of him crying with santa. i know, mean, but i am thinking about the future people! i am thinking about lawton's rehearsal dinner and a video montage and this picture to embarrass him just a little bit! he was totally fine with santa, looking up at him and then we just kinda left him there. that's when he started to get a bit upset. this is a laughing/crying picture. so, i kinda got what i wanted ;-)

Where's Lawton??

we have a new favorite game around here. lawton is obsessed with hiding behind doors and playing "where's lawton??!! heeeeere's lawton!". we were on our way to playgroup yesterday and i turned around for a second and he was gone. so, i said, wheeeeere's lawton?? knowing somewhere a door was going to pop open.
