the paci was our last hurdle with lawton....we did the big boy bed a year ago, we potty trained 6 months ago and thought it was time for the paci to go buh bye.

paci fairy visits and cuts off his paci. nice little fairy huh? i had my friend Erin call us on a whim, Lawton randomly told me to have the paci fairy call him because he said he wanted to talk to her. erin to the rescue. i texted erin and she called back in the best fairy voice - we were cracking up! he was so excited and actually couldn't wait! the deal was - first night, no screaming for mommy and daddy and mommy could take him to target to get a small prize. 5 days, no screaming, etc, mommy would take him to target to get whatever he wanted (in a certain price range of course)
he was excited! he did great the first and second night.
ghetto chart that i made the morning after the first night. i ain't crafty obvi.
third night was a little different. it takes him FOREVER to get in bed.
excuse our 1979 oven, but this was the time and kid was still up in his room asking for water, story, etc. i was about to go nutty!! naps are OVER too. he used to "rest" in his room and play and eventually fall asleep. those are over. wants to be out of his room. i knew this day was coming....but shouldn't he just pass out at 6:30pm??? i know he will get it, but he doesn't cry out for it in the middle of the night, so that's a plus.
bribery in its finest form. go to bed at your bedtime, you get a cupcake. a batman cupcake.
wish me luck. we have a babysitter tonight. BINGO!
