i'm about to lose it.
lawton has started whining BIG TIME. he wasn't a whiner, really. a bit here and there but the past few days have been baaaaad.

this is terrible to post, but he fell pretty hard at my parents sunday and was fine until he said i want my daaaaaadddeeeeeeee!!! this is his whiney face.
it starts out like this:
me - it's time for bed lawton
l - 2 more minutes!
me - no bud. it's time. let's go read books
l - 2 more minutes!!!!! then crying.
i say no, you get the gist. then all i hear is crying and i start to lose it inside
l- i want my daaaaaddddddeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this repeats itself for anything. getting dressed, going to school, running errands, etc. he's driving me to drink!
thank God for Lexapro, let's be honest ;) i just breathe and breathe and try to remain calm which is so hard to do. why are the best things in life the hardest? i know we will get through this "stage" but man, i am tired!! tired of negotiating with a 3 year old. tired of the whines and cries. it's only been like 4 days of this and i am at the end of my rope.
i guess i am the one whining now? ;) just keep calm brooke, this too shall pass!!

ReplyDeleteSterling does the same thing has been driving me nuts. Nap and bedtime are nightmares he whines gets out of bed and doesn't listen. I feel even time out doesn't phase him. From the moment he wakes up he starts whining. He whines about everything. At least you can drink, lord this is age is hard and I need a glass or two of wine!!
