here is a story about mommy FAIL.
for over a week, wyatt has been waking up in the middle of the night creaming bloody murder.
in the day, he is happy as a clam.
we went to the dr before the beach and ears were great.
well, he started rubbing his ear on his shoulder, putting his hand up to his right ear, all the signs of an ear infection BUT happy ALL day.
finally yesterday morning, that thing drained. not puss, just lots of watery wax.
on to the dr we went this morning.
waiting for the dr can be exhausting trying to keep this one still.
this one on the other hand, was great ;)
i'm finally starting to use my brain and brought in the stroller. i used to and still 80% of the time carry him places. that stroller is staying in my car.
have to tame and entertain somehow right?
so, he has a bad ear infection in his right ear and we got some drops (i misplaced the ones the ENT gave us...) and hopefully he will get better soon!
on another hand, i am exhausted. like hit the floor, want to curl up in a ball and sleep forever exhausted.
by 3pm, i can hardly keep my eyes open. i don't know if my iron is low, if i need supplements, all i know is i need chocolate and caffeine then or i am just worthless.
going to the dr on the 16th to hopefully figure this out.
maybe the answer is : two boys.
;)
Hi! So we had an ear infection after tubes also! I started to use the drops anytime we went to the pool or he got a cold. Fast forward 1 year and I'm home with him today with another ear infection AND hand/foot/mouth. his tube in his left ear has fallen out which is normal since the lifespan of tubes is 9 months. SUPER. Sleep deprivation is NO JOKE, I don't know how you have done it so much. I only did last night and I'm about to fall on the floor.
ReplyDeletehi Katherine! ummm...no one told me the life span of the tubes is 9 months!! WTH. I have been wondering about putting the drops in after the pool, he doesn't go under, but def splashes. -I will try that. also, when I put the drops in, they just sit there. I play with his ear, move it around and make him stay still for a few minutes but they don't seem to go down....any tips??
Deleteyes. Sleep Deprivation is no joke....I run on fumes girl.
Please let me know what you find out! I'm scared the answer is two busy, adventurous boys... Went with my mom to Costco today talking about this exact same thing! She suggested dr and possibly low iron too. I said I think it's nonstop, all day every day toddler/newborn life including getting drained from so much pumping. Hang in there mama!! I'll The two things I stocked up on at Costco-- coffee and dark chocolate pretzel crisps. Yum. -jamie
ReplyDeleteJaime!! all I have is diet coke and freaking milk duds. I am on fumes girl everyday. just wait until wyatt starts crawling everywhere and giving you a run for your money. everytime I turn around he is somewhere he isn't supposed to be! ;) hope you all are doing great!!
