a gift

if you know jack, you know that he is obsessed with TN.

he bleeds orange.

we named lawton knox hall for a reason : ode to knoxville.

lawton has been brainwashed to say his favorite color is orange.

 when we found out wyatt had a cleft lip and palate, we researched who famous had had it and up came peyton manning. boom. born with a cleft. everything was going to be okay according to jack ;)

thursday night, my brother told him some guys wanted to get together and take him out for drinks. 

they then presented him with a signed jersey from peyton manning. phil brosseau thought this would be the perfect thing to lift up jack and for wyatt to carry with him all his life. he made some calls and all these wonderful guys went in on it to give to wyatt and jack.

 i can count on my hand how many times jack has gotten emotional. and this is one of them. he came home and told me he got very choked up and just still can't believe it. he is so appreciative, but more than that, so touched. 

he thanked all the guys and all their wives who have helped me so much as well and just was in shock (so i am told). as my brother put it on instagram " this is one of those rare moments in life where a gift -- in this case, a signed jersey for my brother in law from his boys -- has real meaning.

we are so lucky to have friends like this in our lives - this is something we will never forget and that wyatt will have for the rest of his life. how special is that??
