this past weekend, I went to cashiers with some of my best friends from college.
we do something together every year and last year I wasn't able to go because of Wyatt's surgery....so needless to say, I was VERY excited!
we missed Meredith, Courtney, laura, brooks, hope and giordana this year, but one day, we will all be able to make it!
we drove from charlotte, Richmond, Asheville, Atlanta, High point and Greensboro to see each other and rented a beautiful house for the weekend - I wish we could have stayed a week!
wicker, jenna and myself - roommates for over 2 years at nc state
megan and mer
the house was amazing. all king beds, huge living space, wonderful outdoor setting, BUT, wicker did find a dead mouse under the couch cushion! housekeeping FAIL.
on Saturday we took a great little hike up a mountain before hitting the spa for the day
Brenda, megan, jenna, wicker, me and mer
we then went into town and had a delicious lunch and headed over to the Old Edwards Inn for massages and LOTS of talking ;)
we got there hours early so we could, steam, sauna, relax and just talk and be together.
let me tell you.....it was nice. I even fell asleep for an hour on these comfy seats
I haven't laid down on the couch for longer than 20 minutes in FOREVER! it was so nice!
our massages on the other hand were comical....it involves bruising, a little molesting and chin hair and I will leave it at that ;) in other words, we will all be getting facials if we go back ;)
that night we went to canyon ranch for dinner and it was amazing!
wonderful food, delicious wine and best friends. just what the doctor ordered for all of us
THEN we got locked out of the gated community that we were staying in (I guess we came in too late for mountain people) - had to sneak in and megan somehow got the gate to open after 20 minutes and then mer flipped the camera off. I would love to see what the security did when they saw that....
I wish we could see more of each other, but it really makes these trips so special --
