8 days

we are really in the countdown now.

 

i have kept wyatt out of the Y for 10 days now and he STILL has a cold. we haven't been around any children other than lawton. goes to show your damned if you do, damned if you don't. Jack threw up thursday night, so friday i barricaded him to our room and i slept with lawton for 3 nights. i won't go into detail about what he ate the night he threw up, but let's just say, i have never been so grossed out in my entire life cleaning it up off the floors and walls. dis-gus-ting.

 

this morning wyatt is having a photoshoot to capture his beautiful face, so that mommy can always remember it.

 

monday, everything begins. we go to Levines  hospital at 10:45am for an appointment with the anesthesiologist and tuesday morning we meet with dr, matthews. Wednesday, we are there at 5am and surgery starts at 7.

 

i am starting to have nightmares and just sitting in my bed at night thinking of terrible scenarios. i have to stop. my anxiety is pretty damn high this week,

 

jack and i are having a date night thursday and saturday which is MUCH needed.

 i talked to a woman whose son just had this surgery (his was bi-lateral) and she said the first 24 hours are horrible and LONG. she said the next 5 days were very tough. he is in a lot of pain, won't eat, hard time sleeping. he has some other issues that wyatt does not have, but i am guessing we will have a lot of what she is saying. i am glad she is being honest with me, it is what i need to hear, so that i can be prepared....

 

BUT, this is minuscule compared to what others are going through...we are very lucky.
