32

this weekend i turned 32. wowza. 32? seriously? i might just say i am 31 and holding ;)
my birthday always falls on the wachovia cup tournament here in charlotte, therefore my husband is out on the golf course (where he SAYS can't talk on the phone) and entertaining clients all week. brooke = not happy. my birthday fell on a friday last year and i worked all day out of town, jack got home later than i wanted, so, i put that song "it's my birthday and i can cry if i want to" to good use.
 this year was different.
it was awesome. it fell on a sunday and jack surprised me my taking me to pinehurst saturday morning. he booked us a couples massage that afternoon at the spa and we relaxed, had a nice dinner, stayed in bed until 9:45 sunday morning, then had a huge brunch. JUST what the doctor ordered.
we haven't been away together in so long and with all that has happened, we needed it. i feel rejuvenated and it was was such a great 24+ hours....

now: a little about my boys. stop reading if this will bore you, but i need to write these things down because i want to remember them!
here is wyatt at 25.5 weeks.
so, as i was getting my massage, i decided to count how many times i felt him move/kick. i was started out on my side for a bit and once i was on my back, i began counting. maybe for 40 minutes.
this kid kicked me 42 times. 42! is that normal? are we in for an active kid?
i remember the books recommending you count to see if you feel the baby 20 times a day and i you are good. that was all i got with lawton (that i can recall). 42 times in less than an hour is crazy, but i love it because my little wyatt is stronger than we think ;)

lawton at 2 years and come change:
this kid is really growing up. he cracks us up!! some things that he is saying/doing now:
-says "no i NOT!!" when you want him to do anything. where in the world did he get this?! lawton, let's go inside, NO I NOT! lawton, lets put on a diaper, NO I NOT!
-wants his "boggies" aka froggies and paci more and more lately. gotta get rid of this habit.
-won't sit still for a meal. it takes 45 minutes to eat, and i end up chasing him around stuffing bites into his mouth. this has to change as well. people, i am tired.
-can't get enough of the movie "cars" and "toy story". that was my fault, i am the one who bought them.
-knows exactly how to get home and proceeds to tell me everytime we are driving, where BG's, and pap's houses are, when he sees a mercedes he says "katherine? melissa?" he is not going to be happy being moved behind my seat and not in the middle anymore making room for baby brother.
-makes me go by the firestation at least once a day. this is true. we make a longer rip sometimes to see them on laurel.

that is all i can think of - i am losing my mind. can hardly remember what i did this morning. maybe is it being 32. ;)
here is too many more years watching my boys grow up and aging with their handsome daddy! i am already catching up with him in the salt and pepper area - got those babies taken care of last week - whew!
