Happy Mother's Day!

happy mother's day!
i want to wish my friends who are incredible mothers a happy mothers day. i have learned and shared so much from each of you that are close to me - from when to change the nipples on the bottles (who knew that?! - thanks megan!), texting in the middle of the night while we each breastfed, to lending books around on how to get our babies to sleep, to dropping off meals for one another when our babies are sick, to lending a shoulder to cry on, to being able to brag about our children to one another and be HAPPY for each other. i really cherish my mommy friends so much and give YOU a thank you for helping me raise my son as best as i can!
also, to my own mother. she is such an inspiration. she is in one of her last rotations in becoming a PA. she has done this without complaint, only excitement. she has been so successful in school, making A's and working very long hours to get to where she wants to be. she has shown me that you can do anything in life. i am so incredibly proud of her and SO excited to have a doctor in the family! mom, thank you being a wonderful mother and grandmother....watching you with your grandson is a feeling a can't describe!

i posted this older picture because for me, it spoke volumes. when you become a mother, you want to give your child the world and more. you want them to be loved. you want them to feel loved.
my job is to follow my children through life. let them learn and make their way, and support them as best as i can. follow them in their mistakes, in their achievements, in their bad days and good days. be there.
from the moment lawton came into my life, i knew this was what i was supposed to do - be a mother. i had never changed a diaper before, i had no idea what i was doing, but it came so naturally for me (thank goodness!). i didn't have a tough time adjusting to life with a child....i need to let my worries go with adjusting to two children. i need to look back and know, this is what i was born to do - raise two beautiful boys and mold them into wonderful men whos wives thank me later :). i thank jack's mom for giving me such an incredible, patient husband....i am good to go if my boys turn out like him!
i am a lucky girl....i will cherish every moment tomorrow with my three wonderful men. i look forward to being with my husband, my lawton and feeling the wonderful kicks from my wyatt.
happy mother's day!
