MP MUSTANGS WOOT WOOT!

this afternoon lawton and i went to watch my cousin riley play bball at my alma mater, MYERS PARK! we try and go to most home games and today is the first day we had to leave around the 4th quarter..the older lawton gets, the less he can sit still. it is fun being back in the old gym where i took aerobics as a class, yes, yes i did. but a few things have changed:
1. it is $6 to watch a game. say what??!! i thought that it was free! my aun karen always gives me a card that gets us in for free because i complained so much that high school games cost $.
2. before you walk in, you are searched with a medal detector. that is crazy that kids think this is normal.
3. for erin, jenna natalie, the gym is backwards....TOTALLY different. the sides are different since they added on.
4. the cheerleader skirts are more like bloomers than skirts (jenna!)
5. these kids are small! (or maybe i am just old)
6. the bleachers are so nice, i think you could climb under ours as a kid. these are legit.
7. parents actually come to the games? so supportive! did they do that for us? wait, i didn't play a sport in high school..

now, what is this? is this for real? if anyone knows this girl, i am sorry, i had to post. tell her to find me. i am diggin' this bow - she wears it like this every game
lawton in a trance...when we walk in the gym he gets so excited
yeaaaaaa riley!!

kiddo is a clapper. loves it. it just might become a talent? Guinness book of records for most claps in a minute? we'll work on that.

  2. Have not been there in forever!! They had metal detectors when Logan was there. I remember because Matt still makes fun of me for going to a school where they metal detector you! I thought it was free too??

  3. Are you cray cray??!! We had to go through metal detectors to get into football games our last year or two, I swear. I think. Well, maybe not. But I think it's a good idea! And I don't think I would be blown away by the gym seeing as how I can't remember what it looked like when I actually did go to school there. Did we go to basketball games? Can't remember. And you're about to be the mama of a ONE YEAR OLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. OMG----looking back i can't believe i was a cheerleader! and of course i thought i was hot stuff w/ my green bloomers. I'm sure my cheerleading outfit looks like a librarian skirt compared to their uniforms now! Thumbs up Mustangs!
