6 months ago today...

6 months ago today, i gave birth to a very special little boy. lawton, you have shown me pure love. the moment the doctor placed you on me, my life changed. i am a better person because of you. i try not to sweat the small stuff anymore, having you released me from dieting after 16 years of watching what i eat, i don't get upset as easily as i used to, i am happier everyday because your daddy and i get to wake up and see your smiling face. you are such a vivacious little man with such a wonderful, laid back personality (like your daddy, thank God!). i live for you lawton. you are my life, and i knew the moment you were born that i was meant to be a mommy. thank you for being such a sweet, fun, lovable little boy. i can't wait to see what you will bring into my heart tomorrow and everyday after that. i love you with everything that i amhere are a few things that you are doing at 6 months or things that i have noticed and LOVE

-you love to grunt....and you sound like you are hitting a tennis ball against venus williams

-your slam your feet so hard in the crib when you are mad or playing that your daddy and i can actually hear you downstairs

-whenever you are fussy, all i have to do is sing itsy bitsy spider and you stop. period. whatever is wrong, you stop, collaborate and listen ice is back like my brand new invention! (oh wait, where were we? (i know all my friends are thinking the only reason he stops crying, is that my voice is SO bad, he is in shock...well, fine, if that is the case and it works, so be it! ;-)

-you grab at anything and when i mean anything, it is hair, earrings, phone (your slobbered so bad on your dad's, he had to get a new one) water bottles, noses, ears, anything!

-you LOVE blondes...LOVE them. i am going to have my hands full (and maybe lock you up in a basement in high school to keep the women out)

-you allow me to listen to whatever i want to in the car and let me sing. you sit back and go with it. i am convinced you are a lady gaga and eminem fan.

-you always wake up with a smile, which in turn makes my heart skip a beat

-you blow raspberries constantly. i put a bib on you not because you are drooling too bad, but because you spray spit everywhere!

-you LOVE bananas and grunt until the banana net thing (no idea what it is called) is in your hands

-you have just discovered splashing in the tub and get me soaked every night - such a joy to watch. i have a feeling you are going to be one of those "dive right in" little boys. oh hell.

-you are not a big reader like your mommy is, but i will keep working on it

-you love the bijorn. why you think? because everyone is looking at you and you LOVE attention. ( like your dad and mom)

-you are rolling ALL OVER THE PLACE! you will be crawling in no time. hands are pushed up and ready to go. not much longer!

-you get stuck in the corner of the crib every night. EVERY night. i feel like we need to get you a king sized crib!

-you capture every babysitters heart. i am never worried about how YOU will act - i worry more about the babysitter! (just kidding babysitters! not really ;-)

-you are ticklish all over..your back, your knees, your arms, everywhere!

-you have started to belly laugh at me and it is the sweetest sound i have ever heard in my life.
