talking away--19 months

when wyatt was a baby, i heard cleft kids have a hard time talking, their speech sounds nasally, etc.
wyatt has been going to speech for 2 months now and has been doing great. he isn't nasally at all.
of course, at this age, i can tell what he is saying more than others can. i had a conference with his teachers because i wanted to know how he was interacting with the other children in his class, if he was talking to them, if they could understand him, if he was behind at all, etc.
in short, he is always happy, interacting great and talking a TON just like at home...BUT they have no clue what he is saying half the time.
so, i told them to push his lips together if they are reading with him, so it makes him close his mouth to say words (that is what we do in therapy). we tried putting honey on his lips to make him learn to smack his lips together, but he just licked them ;)

wyatt sings basically.
he says "there it is" ALL THE TIME. but it sounds like "theeeee-yyyyyy-iiiiii" he doesn't lift his tongue to the roof of his mouth or move his jaw much. those are the things we are working on.
"don't know?" is donknow? those are his favorite words. it is SO cute! he throws something out of the way, says where it go? and don't know and then there it is.....100 times a day ;)

last night when i was reading to him, i got a few clips - it's not his best work, but it shows how he is coming along ;)
