this past weekend, my parents rented a great house in blowing rock. it was a perfect getaway from this horrible, hot, sticky weather in charlotte! the weather was about 82 during the day and in the 70's at night, with a 20 minute rain shower ever afternoon - A+! we had such a great time all being together which these days is rare with my mom in PA school, everyone's work schedules, a toddler, etc. here are a few pics of the weekend which i seem to not be in. why am i always the one taking the pictures?! i am there too, i swear!
these two had a very "bro-some" weekend. they have been hanging out a lot lately which makes me very happy
this little one was part monkey all weekend! he got up on the chairs, couches, you name it AND ate cereal for the first time this weekend without many milk spoon spills. growing up every hour it seems!okay: so, the pictures below have a story: the house had a ping pong table...score!! we had one growing up (highly suggest getting one) and LOVED it. well, we haven't played since. so, after about 15 beers each, friday night dad decided to "make it more challenging" by playing in the dark. to make matters even more nerdier, he then he pulled out these "miner lights" to wear. so, here are my dad and trent (nerd alert!) playing in the dark (with my camera flash)
this is jack going back and forth for them to have a bit of light during each hit. again, nerd alert! but, we laughed our asses off!
my dad hid rocks maybe a 100 times and lawton loved finding them again. and again. and again.
only a week shy of 18 months!
taking a nap with pap. lawton wouldn't let him out of his sight. he loves loves loves his pap and wanted to be everywhere he was.
the end result of a good weekend. that is all beer and yes, that is ONE water jug.
oh, and yes, detox is on the list this week! until friday ;-)
