the best week...ever

we went to the beach for a week with my family and had the BEST time! my parents rented a house in murrells inlet and it was truly amazing in every way.

we had never been to this beach, the kids had never been for more than 3 days, and we haven't been together as a family like this for a while. we didn't know how it would be wink wink

well, it was better than we could have imagined and have already put the house on hold for next year - so excited!

 the boys loved the beach and as you can tell, we had it all to ourselves! seriously, every day, we had the whole beach!

 Lawton stayed up late everynight and it was so much fun! he is so funny and watched tv with us and hung out like the rest of us. I loved every second.

it was a bit cloudy the first day we were there, so we went to the pier and played some games and had a great time. we even saw about four 6 ft long sharks circling the bait where people were fishing - Lawton was enamoured.

 we LOVED having a pool too - what a great thing when the beach was too windy! it was cold, but that didn't bother Lawton one bit. he lived in the pool!

 my aunt Karen (aka chay chay) was down at the beach for a girls weekend and planned on staying for one night....it turned into 3! LOVED having her there - she makes everything more fun!

on the second night we had a family photoshoot - mom hired a photographer to take pics of us and they turned out AMAZING. so special - we had so much fun doing it. the boys were angels! seriously, I was shocked at how wonderful they were all week. wyatt had been so bad for so many weeks and I swear he turned a corner...no screaming, no tantrums, just happiness all around. it's a miracle ;))

 once wyatt got some "shades" as he calls them, he was a happy boy on the beach. he didn't take the shades off all week....even inside ;)

 I can't believe I caught this precious moment. wyatt was getting ready to go to bed and giving everyone hugs and kisses and saying "I wuuuuvvv you!". Lawton is the BEST big brother.

Lawton still calls him lil ray - no offense to blind people, but seriously, we couldn't tell if he was watching tv or asleep!

 

on Wednesday trent, jack and chay chay all left to get back home for work ;( we decided to play some putt putt and get some ice cream - the boys loved putt putt and Lawton even made a hole in one!

we left the next day to give my parents the last night to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet ;)

 think we did some damage to our livers....

this is a sign of a damn good time had by all!!

thank you mom and dad for the most special week. it couldn't have been better!
