sprinkled with love

how do you put into words how touched you are by the kindness of others? how do you put into words how blessed you feel to be surrounded by women who support you beyond words?
last thursday, my best friends threw a "sprinkle" for wyatt.
i can't believe that i only had about 3 pictures from the sprinkle...makes me so sad, but i want to explain the night and what it meant to me.
see, i am so incredibly lucky. i know i say that a lot, and i mean it.
these girls made me feel SO loved. SO not alone. SO special and the most wonderful part? they all LOVE wyatt so much already.
i didn't want a shower because i was having another boy, etc. etc. well, libby just thought it would be nice to get some of my very closest friends together and celebrate wyatt. how could i say no? only rules : no presents and nothing extravagant. just being together.
well, this was such a special night. i cried and cried and even cried again the next morning.
libby hosted it at her beautiful house and said the most beautiful speech and prayer that i will never forget as long as i live.....they are etched in my heart forever.
i then spoke and as i was talking, looked around the room to the girls who called, texted, checked in on us, brought us dinners, continually ask how i am feeling, cried with me, laughed with me, encouraged me, strengthened me, walked with me through this journey of mine and my heart grew a million times over. THAT my friends is one hell of a special feeling.
every single one girl in that room means so much to me in their own way.
so, i like to say my "sprinkle" was a SHOWER because i was showered, not sprinkled with love. WE, wyatt and i, were showered with love. ;)

i wanted to do something special for the hostesses of the shower but i also wanted it to be meaningful. champagne knows it's way right to my heart, so i bought the hostesses my favorite champagne and had cards made that said:
bubbly and babies make life make life better!
"Pop" the cork
& Toast the arrival...
WWH August 2012

so, once wyatt is born, all the girls will "pop" their bottle and we will all be celebrating him together even if we aren't in the same place. i couldn't think of anything more special than knowing my best friends were celebrating with us at the same time.
so, here's to 6 more weeks until the arrival of our son and to many more memories with these wonderful women who are all "aunts" to wyatt ;)
